Mark Thomson

Mark Thomson was born in Dundee and lived there until his late 30’s.  He left school at sixteen and for the next twenty years worked in factories or as a labourer, on and off and building sites.  In his early thirties he began to write down everything that had always gone on in his head as well as what went on around about him, in the schemes, in the pubs, in the city centre and on the streets.  Once finished, he knew he could never go back.  His poetry is a testament to his passion and love of Dundee, its people and its language. This is his second collection.
